4x8-port RJ-45 patch panel for Cisco HWIC8A/16A cards in SM-32 service modules
CBM of America’s PPCIS32-HWIC-SM32 separatesfour connectionsfrom Cisco HWIC8A/16A cards into eight asynchronous DTE-pinned RS-232 ports each. It accepts HWIC connections over 68-pin female D-subminiature (.05 inch pitch) connectors and provides RS-232 over 8-pin modular RJ-45 jacks. It occupies one RU in a 19-inch rack.
The patch panel circuit includes ferrite beads on all TXD and RXD leads to prevent noise from compromising operation of the SM-32 module when used with longer cables.
