The CBM IP-MPA, a single port multiple protocol conversion and mediation device, provides seamless inter-networking of dissimilar network devices and allows for individual mediation of legacy connections to IP based networking infrastructure. Because it's so functionally rich, and extremely cost effective, the CBM IP-MPA provides powerful, yet inexpensive, single port mediation for any legacy network connection in the Central Office
The serial port is synchronous or asynchronous and supports speeds up to 115.2kbps. Popular protocols such as asynchronous, HDLC, SDLC, and X.25 are all supported and interchangeable on a per-port basis.
